Don't the affiliate networks get a bit suspicious?

    I'm thinking of starting some video marketing, downloading vids and re-uploading them with my watermark and link in description which goes to a double meta-refresh to my aff link. I was wandering, don't affiliate networks get suspicous if they see loads of leads comming from no referrers? Particularly with the email submits that I'll be promoting, it doesn't cost the user anything to submit their email so won't they be even more wary? I just want to make a load of $$$ with out getting banned. What precautions should I take, and what are your past experiences?

    double meta is fine. they wont bother you on low volume if they do for some reason just say your doing ppc or something that you dont want them to see as you dont want to give your methods away

    Thanks. In some cases though, telling them you don't want them to see your methods could make them more suspicious. What would you count as low volume?

    You can do the double meta refresh with a check and then send to the offer...

    If they question you about the blank referrer... Tell them you do PPC and you run all the traffic through your tracking system.

    High Volume - When you get the "shits and giggles" because you are making a ton of coin.
    Low Volume - When you walk around the house aimlessly thinking "Daaaamnn... I need to make more money".

    Seriously... You probably should switch up CPA Networks / Offers... Rotate the traffic so it's not all going to one Network / Offer.

    Hope that helps...

    :D

    Yes thanks, very helpful. I don't get what you mean by doing the double meta refresh with a check though.

    There are many threads here on double meta. Not to be rude, but please use the search function. You will find what you are looking for.

    Thanks, but I just get this message:

    "tpodds, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

    1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
    2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation."

    tpodds the reason why you are getting that message is because you need to have 50 posts to view threads in the cookie stuffing section

    If you want to get them a referer then setup a dummy page that you don't mind them seeing you can do this but will require PHP knowledge or access to someone, i suppose I could throw something together using curl if others are interested

    Your first page is when people go to from you tube, these people are redirected to your "dummy" page using CURL so you can POST a variable to the new page.

    On the dummy page you want the referer to be gets the POST (say id=ok) from the other page then it will redirect to the affiliate link. If it doesn't then it just shows your dummy page with a link to the affiliate program.

    You will need to create two files... Send your traffic to file1.html...

    file1.html
    Code:
    index.html
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="2;url=http://www.your-site.com/go.php" />
    <title>Untitled Document</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    </body>
    </html>
    go.php
    Code:
    <?php
    if(trim($_SERVER["HTTP_REFERER"])==""){
    echo '<meta http-equiv="refresh"
    content="0;url=http://link-to-campaign-or-whatever-goes-here.com">';
    }
    ?>
    That will attempt to blank the referrer with the meta refresh and then check it to make sure it's blank before sending the traffic on.

    Thanks, but I already had a double met-refresh script sorted out. I just wanted to know what you meant by a 'check', but now I understand, it's to check that there's no referrer data, which is what I am using already. Thanks anyway.
