Update
I had totally forgotten that I had posted this, so I thought a quick update was in order.
How is it going now?
Pretty good. I am still ranking for that KW and consistently making $'s every day from that 1 page.
What have I done since?
Built out the rest of the site and now making money from 3 other niche products.
What am I trying now?

What am I trying now?
- Created a 2nd site targetting the 1st KW, currently it is ageing and slowly moving up the ranks (no links built yet). Better to have 2 pages in the top 10 than 1 right!
- Going after other super easy KW's (different niches) but this time trying parasites to make it a little quicker. I will do a mixture of burn and churn and keepers. I will blast the burn and churn parasites with cheap links for instant ranking and build web 2's with tiered links for the keepers. See how it goes.

Google does seem to know how to bowl you a googly when you least expect it. They are the Muralitharan of search engines!

As per my update, I am trying just that right now. I read a few posts this last week on using parasites and noticed a parasite ranking for 1 of my KW's, so I thought I would give it a go. Will let you know how it goes, but my post above tells you how I am approaching ranking them.

Niche has been around since the 1960's, so only 60 years old. Probably a bit too new and I am just lucky like you say. Of course it is not a high competition KW, that is the point of this post
Cheers guys. Personally I am interested to see if this is quicker to achieve with a parasite. Will let you know, just waiting for my web 2.0's to be created, then I can juice them up.
