Looks like he did it in order to make out that's why he was selling his sneakers and shirts, almost a scam to try and make out he is broke and selling his "Real" collection. Then goes on to suggest he was doing it in order to get donations from a post he saw someone else getting donations in. What a twat! Look how many media outlets picked that up and how many people just took it for face value.

mortgage or not it doesnt matter,if I was a bit sillier I would put my house for NBA team to win championship to double houses lol 
ahhh this brialiant idea,i had almost forgot it Some people have balls to do it and some dont ,maybe gamblers risk last money every day and nobody cries,poker and gambling makes you risk everyday,not everyone lives safe internet life and then judges somebody who took out his money and put it in crypt,everything is good.but the stupidiest thing to do this was when bitcoin already raised like 3 times now thats mega stupid did he expect it to hit 100k or what dude had no general idea about bitcoin like some of us who followed it +- for 3-4-5 years or more.

Stop. The prevailing sentiment on this forum has been to invest only what you are comfortable with potentially losing. I haven't seen anyone advising to mortgage your house and pour your life's savings into crypto on this forum. And on the off chance that someone did advise this, I'm sure they would have rightly been called out for the fool that they are.
