Done Hibernating | $10,000 / M Goal by 2015

I'm back from my 3 year vacation away from IM. I was one of the old folks who was put to rest by Penguin. I'm not new, I started in 2008 and have made roughly $20,000 online. Some quick information about me. I'm 25, started IM when I was 18, I recently (September) came back to University after I also quit that (dropped out for 2 years). So what was I doing if I wasn't in school or IMing one might ask, well I moved and started working in the oil patch. For anyone who isn't familiar with oil money, you can make 100,000 a year off the bat without any education. Why did I leave such a well paying job? I met a lot of wealthy older consultants aka my bosses for jobs the company I was with got contracted to do advised me about "life".

Anyway with a new appreciation of hard work, dedication and the value of money, I'm coming back to the IM world to dominate. My goal is simple, make an empire of 100 employees who will collectively run one of the largest network of sites. Until then, 10,000 by 2015. How?

1. Authority Sites - Completely white hat.
- These sites are going to start off as niche sites promoting physical products. (Amazon, Ebay...)

2. Youtube + PPD + Clickbank - Blackhat + Whitehat
- Starting one legit youtube channel with a partner
- Might start MMO youtube channel {Depends on school load + IM load + Success }

3. Random Methods Posted on BH
- Each method you try improves your IM knowledge.

I also currently have an offline business that has nothing to do with IM and doesn't take to much of my time. I will be using this income to pay my personal expenses.


Personal Constraint
Everyone $Dollar gained from IM will be put back into IM until I make $10,000 a month, not a penny less. I know the workload will be immense so I plan on outsourcing as soon as I can. I would likely be outsourcing until my IM career is over.

Personal Tip.

1. 80/20 rule. 80% of your income comes from 20% of your products. Make 100 sites. Likely 80% of your revenue will be from 20 sites.
2. Quality matters. If a site is making you money, invest back in it.
3. Stop looking at your analytics day to day. Evaluate by months. You are just wasting your time otherwise ( for beginners).
4. !!!DO SOMETHING!!! Don't just sit there!.


Why I will succeed this time.

1. Working in - 35 degree Celsius / - 31 Fahrenheit for 19 hours teaches you something about work ethic.

Why I failed IM and did Not Make More last time.

1. Was not focused
2. Did not optimize my time and resources.
3. Bought total of 120 domains. Only built around 31.
4. Didn't invest my money back into IM besides hosting and renewals.
5. No Work Ethic at all.

What happened to my sites: I let them expire when they were not paying for themselves. Also accidentally let others expire.

Just want to start by saying thank you. I have been glancing over various technology and internet marketing forums over the past few days, wondering if I should get back into the grind. I was in the very same position as you, purchasing a ridiculous amount of domains and investing significant amounts of time and money into projects that didn't quite work out. Looking back, had I had the work ethic and drive to continue with my projects, I would have actually been a millionaire several times over. Your post has inspired me to not only stop lurking these websites, but to become an active member of these communities and take the active approach in learning from other people's mistakes and successes.

Big jump from 7000$ a year to 10k a month but good for you. Will be quite the learning curve if you do not have experience with authority sites and high comp. Unless your 10k a month is not all profit and you spread out over a ton of sites. Dedicated servers are a headache.

Week 1 Update.

Bought 6 domains.

Built Tier sites for link building.

3 Hub Pages
Made squidoo lens accounts.

Also built a blogger blog for clickbank product. Become really interested in the niche while I was researching content to put in my article. Will be building an authority site for it too. Clickbank product targets just a small market in a much bigger niche.

Identified another niche that I will be making a youtube channel for.

Conclusion

1. Not happy with the speed of progression (research is taking to much time atm, also can maximize my time more)
2. Decided to postpone PPD / clicknak with youtube until I can get a proxy or know 100% my legit channels and promotions will not be deleted
3. Decided to build 10 authority sites. Get 100 articles on each site before I build more domains. These numbers where pulled out of my behind because, they are nice numbers to look at.

Ok. So almost 1/3 of the year done and long absense here is an update. I will keep this short since I can probably write a book since my last update.

I have read a lot about the latest changes. Bought memberships to websites and read some more. I have managed to get page 1 ranking and position 1-3 rankings for 6 targeted keywords on google. This was for a client website, following alex's method from source wave. Sadly that transaction wasn't completed. I still have the site and it's rankings have not yet changed.

I have manged to rank #1 on bing and yahoo for my keyword on bing and yahoo but I'm on page 4 on google, using blackhatlinks.

I'm now pretty confident I understand and up to date with rankings in 2014. The simple story, nothings changed. Quality links and targeting pages still does the trick. You just can't spam links anymore.

Now, I know you guy's don't really care about any of this and just want to know if I've made money yet.

I finished off March with $63.
So far in April I'm at $18

I am building my own website, inspired by alex, spi and many others on how to make money online. What I have learned is that there is a real need for teachers and guru's in affiliate marketing. I plan on doing many challenges from facebook ads, PPC to spamming yahoo and bing to make money.

To become succesfull in this means, I really need to make substantial revenues online.


Moving Forward.

I'm building 100 niche sites. My niche site range from 50-200 pages. I will make my first 10,000 a month doing this. The websites will all be done by the end of April.

One of my sites broke 100 visitors a day yesterday. Things are looking good.

Two day's after breaking 100 visitors a day, I have broken 100$ a day. Today I have earned a total of $157. Only $30 of it came from the site that gets 100 visitors a day. I still have not completed my 100 sites because my last exam is in a week!

Previous two days have been around $10 a day. Sold a total of $2400 worth of goods.


As of today, my EPC is around .4 . In order to make 10,000 I will need 25000 clicks. An average of 833 clicks per day. I'm averaging about 60 clicks per day.

It would be easier to increase rankings to maximize clicks rather then build 10 times the current number of sites.

Sad news!
My best performing site got slapped by google.
It's either from a) to many 410 errors due to my script
b) think content, google say's too many of my pages are similar.
