I believe it only stripped you because you're a donor and when the donor status goes away you will have your VIP status back.
Besides, what better title is their to have than to let the forum know you're one of the people who support it and help keep it alive?

I made the $97 donation back on Thursday after seeing the shiny new banner. I didn't get upgraded to Jr. VIP status. I was going to wait until after the holiday weekend before I said anything, but since somebody else brought it up first.....
I also thought it might have something to do with the 30 days. It says I registered in July, but it was July 12th (lurked a lot earlier) so I am over the 30 days. Waiting till after the weekend was over would have also given me Jul-Sep.
