I don't think Lapre's methods could ever get saturated though. I see people still using his concepts online today.

The man had a beautiful family and you would think that the love they had for him would have kept him going. He probably would have been out in 5-10 or maybe even less and then he could have spent the rest of his life with his wife and kids.

The kid was a genius. I had no use for him but everyone can learn from him. Even before the internet his was filling his bank account with millions before most of us knew what internet marketing was. He found something that worked and it was his passion the problem was he didnt know when to quit. Rest in peace my friend.
As stated, he defrauded hundreds of thousands of people as accused of being the biggest scammer. I disagree, look at our Gov. Whos putting them in jail???

It is my understanding that Don lapre was warned no less then three times since 2008 about selling his vitamins and claiming they were curing certain disease.
We all know big pharma wont allow that so they call in their boys "FDA" that took him down. It's a shame It ended like this but when they freeze all your assets you really can't afford the top notch lawyer your going to need for a battle like the one he had on the horizon.
Still with that said regardless he should have thought about his actions and his family before he committed suicide if he actually did that. they have not said he did it for sure yet.
He will be missed.

I don't love the guy, but all this hate for him all over the internet isn't right.
I feel for him and his family and friends.
His product was pretty basic, his pitch convinced a lot of people to pay him at least $39.95. It actually was good advice: \
- find a product/info-product that sells.
If you pay 1 dollar for an ad and you make a consistent 2 dollars for that ad, then place that ad everywhere you can.
Pretty basic, but solid advice, plus he always gave refunds to anyone that asked.
My condolences go out to his kids and all his family and friends.

This is blackhatworld, I don't expect you to always be white hat, but I'll stay out of your path if I can. If you ever scammed me, I would try to warn people, but he did what sooo many people do, feed them tons of hype on the next great thing. Some people made money with his stuff. Some people loss money on his stuff. As for the vitamins curing diseases, maybe it WAS bullshit. Take those same diseased people and if the doctor can't cure them let the doc give back the 100k he just charged their insurance. Fair is fair, right?

Define legitimate...
Besides, legitimate can be boring. Legitimate usually costs more money to start. Legitimate usually makes less money. Legitimate usually takes longer to get to the money. Example: I don't think WhiteHatWorld has quite as many subscribers.

Downloading free mp3's is still considered theft in some countries, but I don't know anyone in this forum that's never downloaded at least one freebie. I don't have a problem with it. I'm down with it, just realize your blackhatter hands aren't totally clean. You really think google/twitter/facebook/ebay wouldn't call you a scammer for intentionally breaking their tos? If you passed away would google say you died a scammer's death? Don't live in denial....unclean unclean.

There is nothing worse than beating on the dead. What we should do is learn from his mistakes. Maybe the problem is not making money but keeping what you have. I feel sad for his family and yes, someone here did buy his vitamins. Did they work? I still don't know if they FDA approved ones work either.

I think that's a bullshit thing to say. There's not much evidence that I can see that he was really scamming anyone or doing anything marketing-wise that tons of other people aren't doing. He just happened to be a victim of his own success and ended up villainized because of the volume he achieved. Anyone selling pretty any overpriced bullshit PLR product on Clickbank is guilty of the same thing.

When google and facebook follow you around the net to see what you like so it can cater ads to you, they're not being honest either. What gives Google the right to monopolize searches and determine who gets traffic and who doesn't? It's all a big game. Everyone is taking advantage of everyone else in some way. Some are more obvious than others.
