Does anyone have a guide to SEO a lot of pictures to one keyword. I've spread them across the internet and tagged them all appropriately, however they are not showing up when i google the keyword.

i think it depends on how hard the competition is and how popular that keyword you can try to optimize it like the regular content on your site by adding links to those pictures and making sure the words are also in the pages <title, <headings> etc...

My sister's art blog has a photo with an alt / title and all her photos are dominating all the art keywords.. (no profit unfortunately) but she is at the top of google images for all her keywords.

    How could this happen?

I believe it is because other art blogs are hotlinking, sharing, and downloading the photos... that is my only thought.

Adding the right KW's to your "alt" tag will only help a little, in the end, Google only gives credence to your pictures if the content on your website is unique, and it all helps if you have good links...just using KW's for your pictures is not going to get your picture to the # 1 spot....:)
