I would like to purchase a ".com" domain. where is the best and chepest service for that?
Thanks.

if you want the cheapest then get a godaddy 0.99$ .com domain

how long it is for 1$?

Godaddy may be cheap in the beginning but their terrible customer support and stupid ad-hoc rules will end up sucking your soul and costing you more than you could ever imagine.

Just go with namecheap.

A "best & cheap" option is not always a good choice or even possible. ;) But anyway, Namecheap is good and also is Namesilo (free whois protection included) for just 9 bucks/yr.

Godaddy is cheap if you want no private whois and don't intend to renew the domain next year. Otherwise go with either Namecheap or Namesilo and get the cheaper option in the long run.

And don't go with 1and1. they are just as terrible (I noticed that they kinda have the same design when you're buying :O )

Namecheap nad namesilo are good ones

Use godaddy for 1st year and then transfer it to namecheap using the domain transfer coupon. That's what i do.

When you buy a domain name at godaddy, the renewal is by default set to auto renew. It is not even shown in the buying process that it is set to auto renew.

With namecheap, renewal shows up in the buying cycle and by default turned off.

This one minor point is all you need to know to get an idea of the difference between the 2 companies.

Also check out Hover. They are good.

Yes, I think Namesilo are good for you long time . I have a ton of my domain in Namesilo.

Hope it help you.

Go with godaddy on the first year. Usually it is cheap, $1 without whois protection. Then transfer to namecheap or namesilo before it expires. I find namesilo cheaper if there is no available namecheap coupon due to the free whois protection. You can even get a $1 discount on namesilo using $1OFF2015.

Avoid Godaddy and Domainmonster. Anything else should be fine.

I think there are like 20+ threads about the cheapest domain and web hosting provider. The best way to find the cheapest is to write in google: The cheapest web hosting provider 2015.Thats will be the easiest way to find what you need.

NameCheap, like what others have stated, is brilliant for price and customer satisfaction.

Ok, noobie dumbo question by me ... (and I hope I am allowed to ask it) - If you're hosting with Company A - and do renewals with NameCheap or NameSilo - what kind of hoops does one have to jump through to remain with the hosting company where I'm presently hosting? Do NC or NS just renew them and we host them where we want? Do we have to do anything special, once we renew with a company other than our present hoster? Thx.

A New Domain Name is like a Blank Paper, i would suggest buying a premium brandable name for your organization is more profitable
As a CEO of my company I bought a cctld for my business from DomainBrothers.com and later they helped me with everything rest.
