they may be worth something in the future once all the good domains are gone, but for now mthey are just about cr*p.

you have to think of it like this. who is going to search for v hyphen i hyphen d hyphen ...ect you get what i mean. no one is.

as c*ck said i have tried them and have had very minimal luck.
now if you had the money and the product to make the name worth something, then yes it would be the same. for example, fac*book is worthless unless you have the product and money to make it what it is today.

I agree with the above the hyphen definitely looks like a spam site to me. When I see them I think of online pharmacies and gambling.

Its a little hard to rank but I doubt Google considers it spam. I have a few sites that rank VERY well for a VERY large competition keyword.

Google does not consider it spam. That's ridiculous.

To answer your question, they are not the same. I think a 2 year old kid could work that out.

a-a.com and aa.com, are different.

google sees hyphens as spaces so I doubt it would be considered spam. By far a domain without hyphens is more valuable because of the potential for type ins. I'm sure for SEO purposes though a hyphen and no hyphen rank the same. So in your instance google would see v space i space d space e space o which looks like gibberish. While on the other hand a domain like video-store google would see it as video space store

we might think of domain-names with hyphens as spam because we are actually involved in the internet game. I doubt the average person will think of a hyphened domain as spam. I mean like how many of you actually click on ads compared to the average internet user that clicks on anything?

Domain name really isn't that big a deal. You can take a domain name like alkjdjlkadsjlkadsljadslkjadsjldaslkj.info and have it rank for any keyword if you push enough quality backlinks to it. Having keywords in the domain name just makes it easier for google to know what your site is about and how to rank it. It'll definitely shave some time off trying to rank it.

Try a site like myvideo.com, thevideo.com, evideo.com, etc.

Thanks people for answers.
Bolo yes that's true and i not need to have some domain which is good ranked in google keywords in searches. First main thing is to have lot of good backlinks and god keywords .Name can be whatever you want and i think today we can't take some good domain like games.com becasue every top domain is taken.
Becasue lot of tops domains are too old and nobody can't compare, we can take some domain which is not important to what we have in site. Main thing are keywords and backlinks.:israel:
