Just tried to get .com Domain including [***]instagram.com and namecheap will not register it because of copyright... anoyone else done this expirience?

Where do you register your *.com Domains?

Thanks!

Searching for available domains, works, but not to register them. Some registrars check words in domains, for trademarks.

hmm...
Just added shitinstagram in shopping cart, then open it, everything is fine, ready to purchase.
I don't want to spend $8 on test :D But looks like it's work fine on moniker

Ok, I can add it to cart but then due to the trademark it is not possible to register a .com Domain... just wondering if any other registars handling it similar.

There are registrars that will register those domains. But you have to dig to find them.

Why waste $10? Go with less known registrar.

But why do you want to use Instagram word in domain.

It is trademarked word.

You can not use that domain.

Yes, Trademark Domain was not a good idea. So topic done, and lessons learned :)
Yes, they are much cheaper registrars, but speed and service is ok... but I am open for any recomandations. Thanks.

Instagram can take down your domain any day for hurting their brand. If you provide any service not related to Instagram, then you need to mention it in your footer or privacy policy or both.

Regarding Trademarked Domains it is a stupid idea to start a project. Topic closed.

Regarding Domains, it is good to review the portfolio. Just checked and like to share:

porkbun is good for new Domains (but only for the first 3!)
for transfer sav is much better (only a few cent) but especially for long term
So it is time to move away from namecheap for me... hopefully SAV delivers good service

OP, I think that the problem is in your domain name, not in addon "instagram". I believe if you try some other prefixes you will be fine with registering it.

Check this thread: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/google-took-my-domain.1269192/

And think again if you want to spend your time and money building a site with that name.

Nope, the lesson to learn is... Do not use Trademarks in Domains.

You can try contacting their support but your case is diferent than mine. Since it's a trademark related so, I think it won't be allowed.
My case it was a covid related so after contactinng support they manully registered it for me.
