Domain WhoIs Questions

I'm just curious. If I'm building two websites, how would I go about making sure that I'm not linked by the two? Do I need two separate domain accounts (GoDaddy and Namecheap), two different hosting accounts, and obviously a WhoIs Guard. Anything else?

The end goal is create multiple websites, without my identity being exposed in any shape or form. If I'm going to have my name on a reputable website, I do not want it on my blackhat ones.

Well im not sure how well WhoIs protects you from law enforcement, but it is sufficient to stop any regular people. In the case of law enforcement I think the companies have to give up your information no matter what. I know in a case where Homeland Security was busting this guy for an illegal movie site, his registration info was fake but NameCheap gave up his real info that he paid with.

But if your just dis-associating with blackhat sites whois guard seems sufficient.

I actually recently saw a service for anonymous domain names at $25, but I don't know where.

Get a VPS and a good VPN, host your website on the VPS and always be on the VPN while you are on the site. Never keep logs of your ips on the website, like if its a forum turn off ip logging.

No no, sir. I'm not interesting in doing any illegal activities. Just think of me as Matt Cutts. If I were to be discovered the be the owner of say, this forum, it would pretty much ruin all my credibility (that's what I would assume anyways).

Erm, I thought VPN's were reserved for enterprises, as in "expensive".
