Hi guys.
I have one question bout expired domain i just ran into and purchased.
Go daddy say Estimated value is 3200-4600 $

Does matters what appraisal tool say?
Since im new in this... what should i do? should i list it to sale there and how much i should ask for?
Its domain from 2006.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks

cool mate - buy one of those daily and you'll earn about a million a year

either that or domain appraisal tools don't work.

I'll leave it up to you to work out which one is true

Well i checked some of my other domains with that same appraisal tool..and all of them are max 80-100$
so i guess this is value of domain... . Like i said i really dont know anything bout domain selling thingy.
We will see.

Thanks man

godaddy appraisal is crap, the base to know is checking the records of sale and ownership. you will find incredible gems that gd say wont sell for more than 10 bucks

I would take any domain name appraisal value with a big pinch of salt. In my experience, if the valuation by a domain name appraisal service is over $1,000 or $2,000, then yes, you may have a domain, which has some value to it.

However, always remember that the real value of a domain is in the eye of the beholder. So one person might think it is worth $5,000 and the next person might not see no value in it at all. This is where the value of any domain lies - how much a prospective buyer is prepared to pay for it.

Hope that helps!

I agree in part with what you are saying.

Branded domain names are valued to what each person values it as, but EMDs, are solely based on actual traffic numbers that occur per month, based on something like Google Adwords Keyword tool for example. So, if an EMD gets a lot of hits per month according to Google, chances are the value of the domain is high. Another thing to factor in is the CPC of it.

So, there are actual things to look for if it's an EMD, things you can research, but yeah, brandable names, is how you said it.

I'd say get it appraised in domainkaforum and sell it directly on that site too, Its better selling it there than in godaddy, It also provides accurate domain appraisals.
