I have a lot of domains registered to godaddy and other providers (I think godaddy affiliates) but now I want transfer them to internet.bs (renew prices are more good and free whois hidden)
what do you think? its a good idea?
I see that internet.bs offer free one year extension, so if I transfer domains that have 3-4 months left I lose the 3-4 months and the renew date start from when I transfer??
example:
godaddy domain zzzzzzz.com expires 31/08/2011
if I transfer the domain today and paying the fee at internet.bs the new expiration date is today/2012???
And I have to pay some fee to godaddy?
thanks

When u transfer domain to other registrar u do not pay anything to current registrar but u have to pay some fee to that registrar where u are transferring the domain , mostly will charge 1 year registration fee and that fee will be used to extend ur domain expiration date

second if ur domain expiration date is 30/8/2011 after successful transfer which can take 1 week ur new expiration date will be 30/8/2012

hope it helps , if need any more help lemme know

:)

thanks a lot man

I have transferred some of my domain to internetbs.net, I like their services, cheap and professional, you will not loose any months, the transfer is free and they charge only for 1 year on future. If your domain expires 31/08/2011 when you pay for another year and get 31/08/2012
