I register no more than one domain per registrar. you might think I am crazy but there is a reason for it. I do that so just in case any of my domains get in trouble for whatever reason, I lose only that one domain and all my other domains are safe.

I am trying to find a new registrar for a new domain that I plan to purchase. It can't be internetbs or namesilo or name.com or namecheap or godaddy. oh yah, of course, it can't be google.

What do you recommend? I have heard horror stories about registrars asking for your ID and image of your credit card and all kinds of shit after you register. I want to avoid such registrars. I also want to avoid registrars that trick you by giving you a low rate the first year, but then they charge a ridiculous amount when you try to renew the second year.

Any recommendations? What do you think of hostinger?

I use Internet.bs and Namecheap mainly for my domain name purchases. The first site provides free whois protection as long as you have that domain with them.

Namecheap provides one-year free whois protection.
