I am about to start the bones of building a new site, but I want to buy an aged domain with no red flags attached to it. Does anyone know of some good sites to check for these flags?

Just use google. Search for the URL and see what comes up, especially spammy looking back links. Also check with majesticseo or similar. And make sure the domain is not blacklisted ( search for blacklist sites). Use archive.org to see what the original site looked like and where it linked. But I don't know of any tool that does all this for you with one click.
