Google penalized one of my blogs real bad for comment spamming and such, can I buy a new domain and use the same blog with all the same content? or will google realize that it is the same site and just ban it again?

I don't think that google will realize it is the same site UNLESS those employees of google look your new domain manually and realize that it has the same content as the previously banned site...

Why don't you make some modifications? Just like we rewrite articles. Change say 20%. Add some and delete others.

Try fixing the problems and asking Google for reinclusion in the index - if the problems are minor they may let you back in

If that does not work rewrite the content including title tags and description tags - use CopyScape to check it is different from the old version - and move it to a different domain

Don't put in the same content, or else you will face the same harsh 'ban'.! They wont figure it out until you upload the same thing in your new domain
