Domain PR and Links Question

Hi, I have purchased a domain name with a PR ranking that I would like to use on my website. Also purchased another domain name that has over 1000 back links, again, to point to my website. I did a permanent redirect on both domains, a 301 redirect.

My questions are, how long does it takes for the redirect and PR to transfer over or show on my website and the same for the back links domain? Thanks

Links you will probably get, PR probably not. Honestly not the best use of a PR domain, I have found that the redirected domain assumes the PR of the domain it is pointing to not the other way around.

Even though your site will get credit for those incoming links they will probably not show up as links to your site on any link checker. The juice will flow but they will still show as links to the original site.
