Domain Parking

Can someone help with me with the understanding of godaddy parking your domain. So say I have my main website fish.com and I parked another domain catchfish.com to go to fish.com.

Does Google see this as duplicate content? Cause I noticed a drop in rankings and I just did this recently? If you could let me know if this affects it. Also if it does how to fix it.

I think you're confusing domain parking with domain forwarding. Domain parking allows the company you have your domain with to set up a parked page on your site, therefore if people go to it with organic traffic and click on the links there then you'd get some payment. Redirecting your website, is just what I think you're referring to which google would just recognize the site that it's referred to.

I've heard about domain parking - still confused on how this works.
