Domain Parking - is it any good?

Hi, it's been a few days after I registered on this site and learned a lot. During my usual lurking, I came across this "Domain Parking". I even saw a joint venture saying they will get you 4k-5k a month if you just have an account on a specific domain parking site.

Now may I ask you guys several questions?

Is domain parking any good?
Can I earn from it?
If yes, why it's not popular?

Domain parking works if you happen to have generic word domains or very clever mis spells.

In my experience, all of the above have already been taken and the only way to make big money from it was to snatch up expired/expiring domains. I'm sure its possible to make good money from it but I doubt it's anywhere near as easy as it used to be.

ya where ever u park domain they charge u for commission but u have to have patience

Thanks for the input guys. I just really became curious about domain parking all of a sudden. Maybe that JV thread that says they can earn you an easy 4k-5k per month if you will just have an account on a domain parking site cause me to have an interest oon it.

Domain parking is only worth it if you have a lot of money to invest buying up domains. You have to cast a large net, keep the winners, and dump the trash. Usually once you've found the winners you want to develop them anyway so parking is mainly for the trash.

I have never made a lot of money from domain parking. For me it is just a way to earn some pocket money when I do not have time to develop all the domains.
