Domain page rank or post page rank?

Best option would be to use high rank pages, backlink high page rank pages to your sites, not the domains. And yes instead of getting 100's of low page rank backlinks its better to get quality high page rank backlinks. And ezinarticles and other article directories have generally a higher authority so the PR works better from such sites.
