Domain or Subdomain? Semrush study confirmed

The study is flawed because most websites don't use sub-anything. They're just ordinary websites on a root domain. Subdomains have always been able to rank though. If you look at DigitalPoint forum, it's always been on a subdomain and at one point had an enormous amount of traffic - even in the days of people being completely against subdomains.

Do you not recognize that in the web world, most of these so called "real seo case studies" . "the whole internet using wordpress", "wordpress seo at it's best", "use your blog on your main site", "wordpress is a first class cms" and all that crap are coming from Marketing and SEO agencies,not one single neutral self case study form a blogger/website owner?
Not forget Semrush and Ahrefs have bots who crawling wordpress sites for their "data" and they produce a lot of
crawl waste......

Yes nowadays use a subdomain third party or your own is not good for seo organic ranking. But use your blog on a separate tld domain is a complete different story. Wen you have your blog on your main site /subfolder it's a big trap; when you get a google HCU hit, it will hit hard your blog too, not when you have the blog on a separate domain.

But most not understand this, they use the lazy comfortable way all on one site.......
