Domain or SEO?

Hey Fellas!!

I am facing a problem guys so please help me out..

I am trying to target this health niche. And There is this one keyword that brings a lot of traffic.

I tried to buy the domain name but someone else owns it so I emailed him and asked him if he could sell it, he is asking me for $10000 for this domain.

The keyword brings about 10k visitors a month but highly qualified traffic.

Now my question is should I spam articles with that $10k and try to get as many backlinks or should I pay the guy $10k and buy the domain?

Which one would be the best move?

you can reason with him an get it allot lower then 10k...

but I really can't advise you to do anything...a domain name is really powerful but so is 10k
 
He won't I am willing to pay him for it, but not 10k its just too much for the domain name. I offered him $3k for it but he is still insisting $9900 LOL everytime I try to bargain he drops a 50 or 100..
 
you can do as good domain as his with dash or add some word in front of it , likt pharmaextranutri,

Spend your $10k on backlink... I'm sure you can find a domain which is just a minor variation on the actual keyword phrase you are targetting, e.g. acaiberryguide.com, acai-berry-guide.com, etc.
 
I thought the same thing. I can take over the market with help of some my social media expertise..

I told him that I dont need the domain..
 
Yeah I wouldnt bother with the domain either.. unless he has done some significant seo work on the url i.e. backlinks, content etc

you can easily get another kw rich domain and 10k could buy you a lot of quality backlinks..
 
I recently spent 4k on a domain and now wish I had spent that money elsewhere. I would take a deep breath and think about this one first.
 
Just Get a sub-domain for the niche and use your 10k for SEO. Backlinks and contents are kings.
 
You can try adding suffix to the keyword. And invest your 10k on seo. I think 10k is more than enough to make that domain an authority.
 
For instance, you bought this domain and it doesn't convert well for you...
Do not invest such a huge amount in domain name... there are several other ways of driving traffic to your website.

I agree with that. I have some KW domains that don't turn up on first page because they're not optimized.
I suggest buying (an old) domain that fits your niche and optimize it 100%. Then go for high quality backlink and check out the backlinks your competitor uses. Make a Twitter and Facebook page and interlink.
That's what I would do.
 
Listen dont waste your 10K USD for buying that domain. Is it ranked one?? Whatever it may be. Quick solution is head over to godaddy and by a related domain, do the onpage seo properly with quality unique content and if you want then spend 1/4th(thats max i would suggest you based on your budget) of that 10K usd and you will be in first page and making money. you can also buy a aged domain from godaddy for your keyword if you are lucky enough and do the same.

If your 10K USD is of no use to you, simply give it to me, i will make better use of it :D . Just kidding. have a nice day
