Domain not new after all - SEO implications?

I registered a domain I thought was brand new, and that I'd be sat for 6 months waiting to get out of the sandbox.

But I just ran it through AHREFS and it's got backlinks since a few years back.

Is this all that's needed for this domain not to be sandboxed - aka I can hit SEO harder than I would have now?

I would :

• Check out how diversified the backlinks are in terms of neighborhoods
• Check the authority of the links through whatever means you have
• Check how many of the backlinks are RU or Asia

Disavow them as needed if you notice a problem with any of the above. Better to not have bad backlinks to start your site with.
