domain name with letter changed

Hi,

I bought a domain name for a project that is a word for a measuring tool, but with a letter changed (let's say for the sake of the example something like hammer -> hammar - (not the actual domain name) ). I don't know if i can post the domain name, i don't want it to sound like self-promoting and i don't know the rules quite well.

So the question is: will this affect me in any way? Right now, if i search hammar, google redirects me to hammer.
Can i still go to market with this product as hammar or i'll need to switch to another name. I really wouldn't want to change the name because it's a great metaphor for what the project is doing.

every search engine will autocorrect it but because this is just the beginning you can assume most people will not be directed to your site through searches. So just make sure you audience knows the name difference and market it with the name change. If you hammer away at that you should be good.

Highlight the part that is different from the original word in the logo. Example:
HAMMAR

Or u can manipulate g search suggestions. Search the forum there are some tutorials out there

why cripple yourself from the get go? If the site becomes well established you'll leak most of the search (and type-in) traffic. Find another name.

Ya it is ok as for as now. It will not create Copy rights issues. But the thing is if your site affects in some other ways directly or indirectly you will be accused for CR. As the previous guy told better change the domain name.
