are those as good as domain names without them?

    for example greatreviews.com vs great-reviews.com...

what are the seo pro's or con's?

    thanks guys

The best is the kw.com but if it is not available, better get kwx.com or kwv.com

A domain without a dash is always better than with, multiple dashes are worse still.
    Avoid a dash if possible.
use a .net instead of .com if you can't get the proper domain.

I have never seen any solid proof that suggests one is better than the other.

I like dashes, I have had good luck ranking things number 1 with dashes.

    Why not.
I have no solid proof that it matters either way and I suspect that no one else does either, all guesstimates.

    Take this url: expertsexchange.com

Is that expert-sex-change or is it experts-exchange ?

    Just a thought...

I think no difference, even easy to read out the keyword/domain.

I think it has almost the same seo power but more people tend to type with no dashes.

personally i much prefer getting keyword1keyword2.com(.net or .org) over keyword1-keyword2.com(.net or .org)

but if they aren't available i've had some VERY good experience in ranking
keyword1-keyword2.com(.net or .org) and i've found it much easier than ranking

keyword1keyword2[random semi related keyword].com(.net or .org)

    or

[random semi related keyword]keyword1keyword2.com(.net or .org)
