I'm looking forward to starting a white hat blog which I will update on a regular basis with stories regarding my life experiences... Instead of writing a book I will put it into a blog... I need a good domain name so that I can register it... Must be a .com tld... Any suggestions??? The blog will be in english and spanish so I would like 2 domains, not .es for the spanish version but .com for both...

You could use your own name, or whatever the blog is going to be about. The thing with doing something like this that I have found, because my fiance also keeps a blog is the subfolders and names of your posts and pages. Those are what is going to get ranked.

So you can name the blog something catchy or whatever.

On a side note, watched a family guy last night and Brian the dog wrote a book called, wish it, want it, do it. You could go with something like that if it is an inspirational type blog, LOL.

I have a 5 letter dot biz domain name which is my nickname and was registered in the year 2000 but have always promoted adult porn shit on it, I have no problem losing that domain of my porn business as I make f*ck all out of it, I only keep it for my email,[email protected]
How would the search engines react to that change, from a 10 year old porn site to a clean site???

In my humble opinon, the domain name for this site would be of pretty muhc no importance. Since you are not really going to be focusing on one topic (and therefore a few keywords/phrases) you can call it anything you want.

If you write proper articles, your traffic will mostly come from people searching long-ish phrases. I would use the 10 year old porn domain, simply because it has a bit of a head start, probably a few backlinks, possibly some PR.
 
Like someone suggested above use your name. But like this:

yourname.tld/blog or yourname.tld/#keyword-you-want-to-rank-for#

I think you have the wrong idea about a personal blog. When you go into a person blog like this trying to make a buck, and concerning yourself with things like how will my domain name rank in the search engines, it will fail. Your going to loose interest because personal blogs are supposed to be fun, and your supposed to really care. But if your too focused on making money, your reader won't give a shit and you won't either.
My advice would be just choose a domain name that represents you. Wether it be your name, nickname, favorite phrase, ect...

That is true to some degree, bt your a fool to spend time working on a blog and not try to monetize it. When you install wordpress do you turn on the "nice" urls, instead of the defauly index.php?p=25? Because i you do, then you too are trying to a degree.
