I've really been researching domain name selling, is it worth it?
I have a domain that can be sold for thousands of dollars, I just know it. Where do you think is the best place to sell domain names? ( Only the domain and not a website )

Do you think flippa can help me sell my domain?
It requires $19 for a listing, I checked the 'Domain' category and as I can see in the statistics itself, it has a few listings and also really few buyers watching the category.

Do you think it's worth it to sell over at flippa?
If not, please do recommend me some other sites.

What's the domain?

Most people think their domain is worth thousands, but you always need a second opinion to bring you back down to earth.
 
The best way to sell a domain is to find end users (someone that would want to develop the name). Do a search for similar sites to your domain name and email the site owners.

If your domain is a made up word, you may be the only one that thinks it is worth thousands. I have been buying and selling domains for years, and finding a buyer for a made up word is almost impossible.

You can also try listing the domain on Sedo or Afternic or GodaddyAuctions.

Besides listing domains, do you think selling a domain name without a website at flippa is worth it?
 
If its worth thousands how come you havent bought it yet??

flippa is best place to sell domain first and secondly warrior forum has seperate for domain selling check it out.dp is also good place to sell domains

I take it you've never tried to sell a domain in any of those places?

SEDO, namepros and afternic tend to be the top 3 for selling domains.
 
Okay then, let's ignore the fact that I have a domain name for now.
How much do you think would be the average range price of great domain names nowadays? Just the domain names, no websites.

There's no such thing as an "average" price range for a "great" domain.

I honestly don't think you should jump into domaining until you've done a bit more research. It's a very tough game, especially these days, so you really need to do your due diligence and read up.
 
I used to do a bit domain buying ans selling, and as Meathead says its not as easy as it seems. Other places where you could try and sell your domain name could be DNforum com

Good point there. Any suggestions on where I should start researching domaining? Dnforums probably?
 
you can list domains for sale on afternic and sedo. you can research on the forums dnforum and namepros and read the blog aggregator at domainsville. you can search sales history at namebio and dnjournal. when you list a name on afternic they will automatically list it for you in dozens of other sites such as godaddy

DNForum.com is great, highly recommend it. And I would wait on buying domains until you have studied enough, alot of newbie domainers have been burned by buying before studying about domain value.
 
I also sell domains. Like others say everyone thinks there domain is worth tons. PM me if you want but I have sold domains that to most are not worth $0 BUT it only takes 1 person who needs that name to buy it. On average though take a look at this site DnSalePrice.com and put in your keyword to see how similar domains sold for to get a price point. Again though if a domain sold for $100 does not mean yours will.
 
As mentioned before - find people or companies that would want that domain. Otherwise, it is very hard to sell them for a decent price. Gl

You are selling the site to the end user. But if that shit is still available it has no worth, and if you didn't buy it by now then you are ignorant and you don't know that domains will often get bought after you find them available.

But don't hurry I am sure that some one will buy it before you
