Domain Name Research

Hi Guys

I intend to setup a online ecommerce website selling furniture. I have yet to choose a domain name. I was wondering if there was a way by where I can check how good a domain name would be for SEO? Is there like a domain name checker like google keyword tool out there? Or can I use the google keyword tool to see how keywords rank and then use those keywords to come up with a domain name? I want it to to be in between a EMD and Brandable. Am I looking at it the right way? I hope im not sounding silly.....just want to be certain before I part with my hard earned cash.
