Domain name question major help needed

can i use a free web hosting site such as byethost or 00webhost and use it with a .com domain from some other site. What i want to do is make the site with byethost, then buy a .com domain from a other site and use it as the domain for the byethost hosting i have, Is that ppossible to do?

000webhost also hosts .com domains. This is what they say about it:
