It's certain the domain has not been registered since your order is still pending

i needed to put my friend website online ,so i was looking on youtube for how to put a website online i found someone shows how to do that ,but he said that the domain name will be activated in less then 24h.

From your message it's clearly written that your account is currently under the verification process, you should contact their support via LiveChat, ticket or give them a call.

I've contact them and they told me there's nothing we can do for u ,we're just a support ,it's all between the hand of the administrator. i am really dispointed from hostgator ,my work is canceled because of this delay.

Sorry to hear about your problem. :(

Just for future reference, if something like this happens in the future I'd just cancel the order and try somewhere else. Or maybe an alternative would be to purchase the domain via a domain registrar like GoDaddy, then point it to whatever hosting you get. It's very easy to do as you just need to change the nameservers, which has the format like a subdomain. At least that way you've secured the domain.

I'd also consider using a smaller company. There's a lot of reputable companies out there that are small enough to provide proper/prompt customer support.

I know none of this helps now, but as I say, in case you face a similar issue in the future!

thanks my friend for u're reply yes i probably do that ,but i will never use HostGator again ,and they seem to activate my Account and my domain name is working now ,i guess at least the support is working and they've fixed my problem in less then 4 hours thanks to all.

No problem at all. Yeah maybe best to avoid them in the future - getting the account activated 4 days after the initial order is super slow.

I got the impression this was work for a client. If you do work for clients who need hosting, you could consider getting a reseller account somewhere. You could then set up separate accounts for your clients yourself, and also register domains from GoDaddy etc...
