Domain name first ? Or should I get to work hard into keywords?

Hello. I am planning to start a blog, and then monetize it.
I am a total noob. I have the niche, the main idea in my head. Last days, dot com domain appeared suddenly in my head, so my impulsive self went quickly to look into domain and hosting.
I think that the domain could be great, and it is not registered.

Should I register it ? Or is it better to investigate keyword profiency of that domain ? It is only a couple of bucks to register and buy webhosting. And if I have a domain and proper hosting, maybe I would get hands on and quit procastination.

Thanks

Trust me, you're not losing anything if you spend $10 on a domain name that sounds good to you. Worst case scenario you build something else on it or just let it die. Buy it if it's nice. I lost a lot of great names because I thought I shoudln't buy them yet.

If you are just starting out. I would recommend starting your blog on something that you like. If not you will lose interest before the site really takes off.

If you want to go the other route you can search different terms to find terms that you can rank for that get a good amount of searches. Then you would create a domain based off those terms.

Took the note, gentlemen. I must avoid procastination in an independent quest. Let's get to work !
