Domain name extension and ranking

Hei!

I want to launch an experiment for a low-medium KW and try to rank it with web 2.0 and my own PBN.

I was just wondering what is your opinion on the extension of the domain name and its ranking factor. In fact, I have read everything and the inverse about it.

Some saying that .com and .net . org are priority to other ones.

Have you made experiments? What do you think?

I highly doubt that these extentions that anyone can register will help. Just the country-specific ones will help you to rank in that country.

TLD's are just a part of your PBN pattern. Don't think about TLD's as ranking factor and more of a footprint.
If you want to rank in France for e.g. use mostly .fr if possible. If you want to rank worldwide use .com, net and .org because they are the most established TLD's. I think you get it now.

TLDs are exactly what their name suggests. That they hold weight over .us,.xyz, etc. The difference between them all is small and targeted to a specific country in some cases, but if you're not taking every advantage you can, there's no point in SEO.

For me, if your trying to rank in US then better stick to .com, .net and .org. Otherwise, mix it up with your country extension.

I still prefer .com/net/org for US target sites but if you want to rank in certain country, then go with that country tld domain.
