Hi all i found a keyword for my niche:

- Difficulty:0
- Volume: 2000
- Potential Traffic: 4000
- Organic click is 95%
- Site ranking on top is a very weak website I think
- No competition at all

The .com is already taken
The .net is already taken
The .org is available
The .co is available

Question, is it ok to either get the .org or .co? Are they good for SEO? What if I use a hyphen? Is that ok for SEO?

Just asking coz the hyphenated word is available for .com

Thanks

The top 3 TLDs: .com, .net, .org, are all good.

Other TLDs don't make a difference SEO wise, neither does a hyphen in the domain. It does just make it look uglier though. Avoid hyphens, try other variations or get creative with a brandable URL.

Don't use hyphen in domain name.
Its not good for seo.
There are some rules while choosing a domain name.
Don't use any special characters in domain names.
Yeah .org is good for competition so you can choose .org.
Hope this will help you.

thanks man for the advice

do you think i got a good keyword here?

is it ok to not use the keyword as my domain name but target that keyword for my articles/blogs?

Other than .com being the most trusted for clicks, I don't believe domains play much of a part in it anymore. Just make your domain name focused on the niche, and if you can find a way to get a .com that would be ideal.

oh ok. what if i but the letter "s" at the end so i can still get the .com? is that ok or keyword will change for SEO if i do that?

I can only think of hyphen or adding "s" or get the .org, .co

When we are buying Expired domain what we should have to care?
Spam Score only ?

Hmmm.
I'm wondering why most people here are trusting .com domains only!

To be honest, I started my website as .cheap domain as a challenge to break that belief! It's working so far for me. Not only could I rank for many keywords on google, but also I managed to earn $1,000+ in affiliate income over the past 4 months.

I would say go with whatever domain you think of and with hard work and persistence it should simply work!

Regards,
karim

You're putting too much focus on the domain name man lol. For instance, if I'm making a site that is targeting keywords like "best mattress" I don't need bestmattress.com. If it's available cool, but if not you could always go for something like "SleepyJoe.com" and be perfectly fine. It's your onsite SEO and backlinks that are going to rank you.

To those who are asking or about to ask about my concern on the domain name, it is because I am new and just learning about the whole thing.

I just read that it is good to use the KW as my domain name but yeah i also thought that onsite SEO and backlinks are important too.

That made me think that even if I just use a different domain name and for as long as I target this KW in my content then maybe I can be i can still be on top for that KW

  • Spam score is the first one to check before expired domains.
  • And you have to check the DA and PA of that domain.
  • You have to check the archive of the domain. What kind of business or blogs before it gets expired.
  • Verify the Google Ad sense ban, in case you use that domain for Ad sense it might be one of the reason that domain was expired.
  • Use Google Banned checker to verify the domain stats.

Other domains will certainly work, and you can rank with them as long as the content is there. However, .com domains are still the most popular by far. Of course, that is slowly changing as more and more sites use different extensions but I still think .com is where you want to be unless the other extension makes perfect since like .tv for a streamer/YouTube site etc.

Yes, you are on the right track now! Focus on building content around the keyword(s) and let the domain name be whatever.

Yeah adding letter "s" seems legit.
As others said not only .com is important other TLDs also good.
So you will try that and think it will be suitable for your niche, keyword and suppose it might be a EMD too.

thanks for everyone who responds
