Like I'm a newbie starting with making a site and testing my skills. Can someone tell me where to get domains and hosting for free. Or atleast for a month. Any domain can work. I need to practice sites.

Download Wordpress and use xampp.

For free domain and hosting you can sign up worldpress.com
 
You can use free blogging services like wordpress or blogger.

You can only use subdomain extensions like "youwebsite.wordpress.com" or "yourwebsite.blogger.com"

But this is a good place to start.
 
i was looking where i can create html,ss file and upload to see how i can do it. please help.
 
Hey if you're just looking for some practice purpose, then try this.
  • You can get free 1 year .TK / .ML / .GA / .CF / .GQ from freenom.
  • Then go to 000webhost.com, register for free 1-year hosting
  • Now change/point the DNS of the domain to 000webhost
  • That's it
Now, enjoy this mate.
 
Alternatively if you are a college student or have access to a college students email you can sign up for the git student package which comes with loads of free resources as well as $50 digital ocean credit and a free domain from namecheap. With the cheapest droplet you can use that to host for almost a full year.

i am a college students but my college doesnt provide me that email or other benefits.
 
Xampp is your best bet, having an website locally you can change anything any time without any limitation.
Before i build my website i had it locally on xampp and then just moved to webhost+domain, i still have that website and try different things on it from time to time.
