Was putting my old domain and keywords thru serpbook to see if a site somehow came bck from the dead. I noticed 2 were PR1 :D
But the thing is, both domains were used for "adult" content. Site has pics of naked women, says porn a couple times, and overall topic is about a porn subscription site. Sites are 5-6 month old. Can domain be used for any type of backlinking purposes if I took off the porn content and put normal stuff?

If they're coming up PR1 I don't see why not. Worth a shot, better than letting them rot. If not, list em.

You might want to do a transition. Where you delete all the old content on the site, then start adding some other clean multi-niche stuff. Then after a few months of this, your history might have been cleaned in Google. Then you can start your main niche site. Just an idea, have no reasoning behind this method.

But PR means absolutely nothing...especially PR1.

I have a site that is PR5 with just one backlink. How is that possible? Because it is a backlink from a PR7 page.

Is this site powerful? No, of course not.

Could I sell this site for good money? Yes, but that would be taking advantage of people who don't understand.

Also to be clear...it would be so easy for me to use my network to artificially create many high PR sites...sell them and then remove the links.

But I won't do that because I like being able to sleep at night :)

Its not powerful because you got a racing engine under the hood of a gremlin. You would find if you actually built that site out it would fare a hell of a lot better than without that link.

Maybe slightly but actually it is weak...other metrics are not strong. It has poor page authority, domain authority and trust.

Just trying to say that even if a domain is PR5 it doesn't mean it is strong because of the way PR works you can have PR5 with just one backlink.

I have domains which are PR0 or PR1 but much stronger than this PR5 domain.

PR has nothing to do with the value of your site. If you have a lot of quality organic visitors then your site is way more worth then those with high PR and 0 traffic

These days you can reach "PR 1" with a few hundred links easily built. Also, that PR is some delayed data google makes available, it's not worth a thing to experienced IMers.

"these days"...The PR formula never changed and as I said above you can reach PR5 with just one link ;) So of course PR1 is easy...
