I've been running a website on a .de domain for almost a year now, for which I've built strong rankings through content and backlinks. In the planning of the website I did not consider to operate international with translations in egnlish. Since i know i want to grow international and translate the site I am faced with a problem.

How do I proceed correctly when placing my website regarding domain?

I can imagine the English language content on a .DE domain harms at least the CTR in the serps if a de domain SEO technically does not even have other drawbacks to rank internationally.

However, I do not want to miss the metrics I've already built for the De domain and I can imagine that if I just build 301 redirects to the new domain could hurt my link juice / authority.

That's why there are 3 options for me:

1. Keep domain and host multiple languages on the de domain via the directory structure alla domain.de/en etc

2. Keep content on DE Domain and set up a second website for International Alignment.

3. Move the complete page. to work on an international domain and then with 301 forwarding What do you think would be the right decision?

What would make the most sence to you? Andy expiriences?

Don't have the direct answer but i never click Google based in domain extension. So i recommend keep ur current domain
