Last night I purchased a .co.nz domain from crazydomains - and I got free hosting from poweruphosting.

It seemed to all work well but when I go to my website ON MY HOME IP, it shows the page from crazydomains.

This is what happens when I do /wp-admin - so annoying !!

However EVERYONE ELSE, plus myself when I use VPS or VPN I get this page (the page it should be)

wp.jpg

and the /wp-admin works.

So how do I get it working without me having to use VPS/VPN?

I've legit tried everything!! Been trying to resolve this for the past 10 hours and I'm am up the point where I'm so angry/frustrated.

I've tried everything, turning my firewall off, clearing my cookies/cache, using another browser, restarted my wifi router to change my current ip.

Still NOT working !!!!

Why is the homepage when I go to my website different for everyone else, and me when I use a VPS/VPN, but on my home ip why is it the crazy domains banner homepage when it should be the WP theme. and Why do I have Forbidden Access when i try use it on my home ip.

VPN is fine, but it's slower, and VPS is fine but it's laggy. Why can't it just work on my home ip!!

Any tips? I'd be willing to try anything, someone help me before I jump of a skytower.

I'm having similar issue. I can't access my domain at all using my current ISP. But, could access with other connection ISP.
I'm going to check with my ISP first.

never go for cheap rates or untrusted sites, for domain go to godaddy, and for hosting many options like bluehost, hostgator, dreamhost and many more

Free hosting can not exceed the bandwidth load traffic.
We recommend that you try out the service vps from arminds
Goodluck

Contact your ISP, It is possible that your IP is blacklisted. Please check that because you told that i can see via VPN.

What is ISP?

I've been talking back and forth with my hosting company and they said my ip wasn't, plus I restarted my router - which generated a new ip for me so I'm thoroughly confused

It's not free hosting, I just got it for free.

ISP mean Internet Service Provider. Any other sites working on same IP??

Also check the permissions as the files are 644 and the folders 755

Lol. What? At least be relevant when you're doing some marketing.

Could it be some weird caching issue? I mean you said that you cleared the cache but wanted to make sure. incognito usually works if you use chrome.

How do I access the perms on the folders?

Thank you!

Hello,

As stated in the ticket, your website is working perfectly fine from every corner of the world, it seems like your home ISP (Home Internet Provider) is having some network issues reaching and resolving to the website. You will need to contact them once.

Also, posting a thread won't really help out as we are still trying to help you out over the ticket.

Everyone else, we are not a free hosting company, the account was given away by us for no cost as our way to giving back to the community members for trusting us for years.

Did you modify any of the domain settings (dns etc.)?

If so, it could be that the changes take time to update? Try running 'cmd' and 'ipconfig /flushdns'. Just throwing it out there, may not be the cause of your issue but no harm trying.

It is highly unlikely coming from the folders permission. Powerup team would have spotted it in your ticket.

DNS cache is likely going to be the issue here.
You can flush it or just wait for 24 hours for it to expire without accessing your website not even once (or it would postpone for another 24 hours).

You can check whether it is working properly from the link below :

That's indeed the command, but you also need to unplug your modem / router for 15 seconds and plug it back in to clear its own DNS cache.
You also need to flush the browser cache as well.

In your hosting Right click on folder to change the permissions.

do you have cpanel on your hosting? Maybe your ip got banned?

It could be that your ISP uses very slow to react DNS servers and that they are just resolving to the old hosting. It seems very strange but when I updated a website for aobut a week Comcast users in the US would still not be able to login and I kept getting reports that the website was not working properly.

Switching to Google's public DNS servers fixed it for every user.

I don't know why that worked or why the Comcast DNS' were so slow/bad to update but after looking into it some ISPs just have DNS' that are very slow to update and can cause these strange anomalies.

If you tried opening the domain name in a browser before changing it to your hosting, your dns cached the old nameservers.

Clear all your caches, restart your computer and try again.

Side note - try accessing it from your home network, but from a device you have never opened that URL from before - phone, tablet, another laptop...

Try these steps:
Open your Command Prompt (Got through Run in your desktop app) and type this inside "ipconfig/flushdns" without quotes and it will give you a message of dns flushed successfully or something like that. Then clear your browser caches and temp files as also cookies. Now you should be able to access the site. If this also do not work, then there is a problem with your ISP doing cache of websites and keeping it for couple of days/week for serving it to customers. This practice is followed by many ISPs to reduce their bandwidth as they can provide the sites without going through the actual servers and reducing traffic load on the ISP and thus overall cost. You may have to wait for couple of days in that case.

If you have another device connected to the same internet connection, then try accessing the site through that device, sometimes this works.

How do I get to run.. I searched it up, but it didn't come up!

I'll keep trying, thank you :)
