Is this considered white hat or black hat and does it effect your search engine results?

I was thinking if i had a music site buying music.com (obviously that wont be there but you get the jist) and forwarding to my website should help seo or does it not matter?

wanna know before i buy a load of domains lol

well i guess its good idea to have some extra domain names pointing to your site
but your main domain that is connected to your hosting is the most important one.

it helps SEO a little

OK cheers, the website so far is good (I think) I started it around 6 months ago and it has gained Google page rank 3 and has some strong traffic, I just want to start bringing in thousands daily lol

The monetising side of things isnt the biggest thing right now because I make money from youtube videos and promotion on my site direct with artists.

I just need to really expand the traffic. its at around 200 - 300 unique visitors a day and roughly 700 - 1000 page views my bounce rate is really good averages at 1% some days its at 0.2%.

I just think that i need more keywords now lol

If I were in your place I would have invested the money in SEO, backlinks, articles, content etc rather then buying domains and set up forwarding to the main site.

Buying relevant domains and 301 redirecting them to your site is completely fine, you just can't do it that often. If most of the links pointing to your site are the result of a 301 redirect, Google will pick up on it.
