Hi, I have recently purchased a couple of domains with the intention of flipping them without doing anything with/to them.

I am completely inexperienced in this, but am intrigued by the prospect of buying a good domain name, and then selling it on Flippa for a profit. Do people ever buy just domain names on Flippa, or is this rare??

As I have no experience in this, are there any tips that people can suggest? Obviously it depends a lot on the domain name that has been bought though..

Anyone who has experience in flipping untouched domains, get in contact - I would love to gain any insight and information.

Thanks.

You could try your luck at Sedo. Its the biggest domain marketplace. Although chances are slim of getting a good offer unless you have a premium domain or find an end user.

It is certainly a good idea not everyone wants pre-built websites with tons of traffic like myself I only look for good names so I can develop my own idea and watch it grow

I'm actually looking for a new one atm so if you've got any short .com extenstion domains that are brandable/memorable - pm

good luck to you either way

i flip domains full-time. its easy if you are experience in knowing what type of names sell. i would not use flippa to sell just pure domains. if you have good stuff you don't have to list your domains for sale anywhere. people will find you and make you offers through the whois.

Why don't you add some content on the domain and make it look like a legit site on top of a good domain?

forums such as namepros, dnforum and ebay are your best 'quick flip' options

I suggest having a look at what's on offer to get an idea of how to price your names

yes, there are always people interested in buying your domain on Flippa, it depends on the pagerank and backlinks and other factor some domain have.
