Hi there, I wanted to try domain flipping so started thinking of some keywords. As it's almost Christmas the first thing that jumped to my mind was GIFTS, made a search on GoDaddy and found gifts.digital available. Went ahead and bought it straight away.

I don't have any experience in domain flipping, I have listed this domain on SEDO as a featured listing. I have a few questions and hope someone here can help

1 - How good is GoDaddy's appraisal its estimating this domain at $1,832?

2 - I have listed this domain as a featured listing on Sedo, with 60 days lock will I have any issues if I accept any offer?

3 - I have installed WordPress and designed a sample home page to get the domain indexed on google. Will this help in any way or is it better to have a domain for sale page from Sedo?

4 - Would love to get some advice and any suggestions.

Thanks!

Domain flipping is not that easy, focus on popular extensions and small words. These random domains are not going to sell and you will end up burning your money. Maybe try buying domain with good link profiles and flip them or buy short expired domains and flip them.

Thanks appreciate your advice. I was a bit sceptical about .digital domain extension. I will stick with .com when I am buying other domains.

Your domain name costs as much as real buyer pays for it.
You have 60 days lock period so you won't be able to transfer it to new buyer before Xmas.
Good luck to you anyway!

I suggest you next time not give your domain to big companies right away. Since you hand over most of the rights to them, and if in the meantime an offer comes from another direction, it is very difficult to resolve the situation with large companies. You have a lot of groups on Linkedln, as well as individuals who are brokers and have their own clients. They are always in some searches and postings to search for a certain domain. Lots of greetings and good luck;)

I am also a newbie to domain flipping. However, I suggest you watch Daryl Ledyard's YouTube channel (Mass Page Tools). He specializes in web design, but he also provides valuable advice about domain flipping. Every Sunday on his Youtube channel, he gives away through a lottery a valuable domain. There are only about 20 people in the draw, so you stand a reasonable chance of winning. He also sells useful software for domain flipping.
