From a purely SEO perspective probably not directly.
But it might negatively impact CTR.

Yes that can happen, but my theory is a blog tld extension should get a higher ctr as the competitors in the serp with com domain. Searching for your brand name+news or +blog here.....From a purely SEO perspective probably not directly.

My friend after years of google lies "the gockle" and from Matt Cutts or John Mueller .....yep, gemini, copilot AI gives you the same yadda, yadda blabbering, that does not mean it's true or matches the reality 1:1 what google is telling you is not the same what they mean......(!) welcome in the matrix slave planet earth my friend !Not really, as Google treats all top-level domains the same. However, .com and .id (.co.id in Indonesia) have real advantages (trust, click-through rate, backlinks, local SEO) that make them better choices for your tech/entertainment blog. .xyz can rank well with optimization, but faces spam and trust barriers. .bit is impractical due to low awareness and technical issues.
If you are getting .com, it is the best. Other domain extensions are all alike.Domains .com/.it/.net/.fr etc rank better than .xyz/.bit etc? Ord doesn’t matter?
.com not only ranks better, it is also good for branding.Domains .com/.it/.net/.fr etc rank better than .xyz/.bit etc? Ord doesn’t matter?

Yes domain extension does matter to some extent Search engines don’t rank .com .net or .org higher just because of the extension but these are more trusted by users and sometimes get better click through rates. Country extensions like .it or .fr help rank better in local searches for that country. Extensions like .xyz .bit or other cheap ones can work but they’re often used for spam so they might face trust issues with both Google and usersDomains .com/.it/.net/.fr etc rank better than .xyz/.bit etc?
