Domain extension doesn’t matter?

My tests show that new tlds like .xyz .shop rank worse in Google.
If you are doing SEO in a country, e.g. Italy, a country tld gives a noticeable advantage, so in this case .it domains
A good solution is also a global .com domain and versions in .com/it/ .com/fr/ directories , you can then notice the synergy effect of activities, e.g. LinkBuilding.

I would always prefer to have a .com or country relevant TLD. However, if there is a very strong domain with a different TLD I would happily use it over a new .com domain.

It does not matter much. But if you are targeting a particular country, having that country extension can help.

Technically, Google has said TLD doesn’t directly impact rankings, but from experience, .xyz and other non-traditional TLDs often carry a stigma. I’ve worked on projects where switching from a .xyz to a .com improved click-through and conversions. So yeah, user perception plays a bigger role than the TLD itself.

It doesn't have that big of an impact but it does impact the rankings because of lower CTR (later tlds are not very trustable in comparison to the former ones mentioned above)

Domain extensions doesn't have direct impact but it may affect if you use extensions like .xyz because it was mostly used for spammy websites. So users might be avoid to click and enter your site. If you are using generic TLD's like .com .org that will gain users trust and you might get good CTR. Also if you are targeting a specific country traffic then you can go for country code TLD,s

A question: when you have a .blog, .xyz or whatsever TLD domain, can you have a custom email address with a .com domain ?
I mean with this combination having a .blog domain but a custom .com email adress should be look more trustfull ?
Like that: jsmith.blog

I see that Tim Ferris use a .com email address on his .blog website.

You need the domain name in order to create an email address on it. So, you will need to purchase the custom domain.

Yes in my recherche you must buy the custom com domain to use it for business email marketing.
Like this: website is johns.blog with a gmail email address.
For business and email marketing buy a com domain like this: johnsblog.com, with that domain you can setup business email like;
[email protected], [email protected] or whatsoever.
Some people do that with when they have a good ranking website with new TLD domain, they use a similar com domain for business (email marketing)
