There's quite a few companies offering lists of expired or soon-to-be expired domains. Does anybody know how they acquire these lists? I know there's an official body that publishes .au dropped domains. Just curious.

easy - go with popular deleted domain lister and check back link profile/authority...

I wont mention particular sites just cause there are only so many deleted high pr domains available and I make living by creating blog networks outta 'em.

nah, its just websites providing the list - the more you pay, the better they get, in theory. Free ones work well too but I wont put 'em here.
Dont want all this crowd on my domains...

check Google - might get somethin' if you ask for expired domains.....

Right so it's worth doing some research to find an little-known publisher. I'll get on it.

We had written such thing a year ago. Our client took the list of auction domains from two major domain auction sites daily (Snapnames and Godaddy).

We checked PR, backlinks in google and dmoz listings than we monitored if it was expired in that date or not.

Godaddy provide FTP access to download the list.

SnapNames has a webpage to download the list. Google for "download Auction Lists snap names". (I can't post links in this forum yet)

No need of advanced tools buddy. All you need to do is to find a site which gives you a listing of dropped domains.
