I want to start in an niche in Italian, so I have two options:
.com
.it

what do you think is better?
the .it is 15$/year

thank you in advance

.com

Since they are better for seo. And you want to provide your service/product for other countries too, don't just limit to Italy.

I guess it depends if you only want italians to see it, if so I would maybe go with the italian one, if you want all countries to see it then definately go with the .com

hi guys, thank you but I want just Italian, because is about fitness but in Italian language...
.com aniway??

Just go for it. Not .it, the other one. :)

Now seriously, if it's about fitness and the content is in italian, then go for .it.

Personally, if both dot com and dot it are available, I would get both for one year registration, then test them. You could set one up, and 301 redirect the other to it. Or you could set up two very similar sites (or even clones, though goog and others dislike dupe sites) and see how each perform. Testing over time will give you empirical evidence to work with.

Go for both!

.US domains are gaining momentum because Google is massively changing directions towards GEO sites... if you're in Italy, you'd find lots of .IT domains showing in the first page of Google and many would out-rank .com ... if your business is targeted to italian audience, I would go with .IT and not .com

If you're targeting Italy, then definitely go for .it.

Just go to google.it, search for your keyword, and look at the results. Are most of the pages .it or .com? In Sweden, .se domains dominate the first pages of google for the vast majority of competitive keywords.
