Domain choosing question.

i am confused in choosing the domain, please help me.

which domain will be better for seo purposes of the following

1) keyword+someword.com

or

keyword.com.mx

2) can i geotarget .com.mx to US in google webmasters tool ? will that work ?

I don't think geo-targeting a Country Code site will help you that much. It works for general TLD's, but when you add the country code, it doesn't sound right.

I'd go with the .com, especially if you can get close to your main keyword. Such as KeywordHQ.com. Or something along those lines. Try and keep the second word as short as possible, unless it is related to a search term that you want to rank for.
