The domain that I want is a .co.uk domain that is going to expire on the 15th of August. It's currently registered with 123-reg. I would like to backorder the domain and buy it as soon as it becomes available. I have the same domain but it's a .com , This .com domain gets 99% of its traffic from the UK. I think I should buy a separate hosting plan, and start building the .uk website. Should I use 123-reg or godaddy? I would buy the hosting from them also to make things simple. Has anyone bought their hosting? Is it good?

You're paying a premium, basically.

Better to cut out the middle man and go straight to the source, so to speak. Can be tricky finding good domains with PR, and solid tf,pa,da and link profile, though.

There is no guarantee u will get the domain even after backordering. But since you have the .com version chances are not many people will be interested in .co.uk one unless its a fantastic domain so you have a fair chance of grabbing the domain. Your best bet is to backorder at all possible places and hope for the best if you really want it. Godaddy isn't very reliable btw, I didnt have much success with it. You can try drop.co.uk too.
