Domain Authority or Domain Rating?

How about none between DA & DR and just focus on RD, quality of anchor text in backlinks and organic traffic?

Focus on NO metrics, it's a shithole.

Rather if you have the domain with you then see the RD and strength of those RDs. If you don't have the domain (as some PBN sellers don't reveal it) then ask the screenshot of either ahrefs or moz RD structure showing first 10 RDs. Seeing the first 5-10 RD can easily give you an idea about overall link structure of the PBN. And that should be the basis of buying PBN links, never EVER trust the metrics howsoever high it may be. And in my opinion, all PBN sellers should keep the screenshots of their domain RD structure and should be shared with buyers.

Right now every other metric can be gamed. RD can be trusted as it will be existing and pointing to the domain.

Plus link power comes from RD and not from the metrics, PERIOD!

DA and DR could be manipulated. Focus on your marketing objectives and climb the KW rank if possible.
DA is outdated everyone knows that.
DR is almost the same but more affiliated and influenced things into the space of IM. That's the reason people trust more in DR, which they used to believe DA long back.

You can focus on both if you get backlinks from strong metrics sites.

In recent days I was checking both the metrics for many sites, DR changes drastically over the period but DA changes 1 or 2. I thought that DA is the standard metric for the sites compared to DR. For PBN we can go with DA and for real guest post DR would be the right metric.

They are all crap, third part metrics that have NOTHING to do with how Google sees your site, but if you have to choose one DR is the better one and DA from is just shit as it is extremely easy to manipulate!

The actual truth is both DA and DR represents how strong your domain is. I would say it's both are same. DR is calculated by Ahref and DA is calculated by Moz. You can choose either.

Just use your eyes and see the referring domains. If the site holds backlinks from excellent RDs, then it suits. Oh hope that everyone knows what an excellent RD should look like:D

DR is more reliable
Go to fiverr and search "increase da", you will find hundreds of them offering DA DR & TF increases, most of them are sneaky redirects and shady stuff which is of no value.

It is when you wanna sell links or guest posts to n00bs that think DA / DR or whatever third party metric the holy grail to SEO.

Domain Authority is given by Moz and Dr from Ahref so you wont worry about that if you looking for google ranking, analyse the backlinks, anchors and history of the domain. Because most of the PBN metrics are easily increased by some redirection method but its no use to building links in this type of PBN.

Used the below image from the post by @Dolan from here for reference purposes, sorry mate:

Now see the below images from a PBN domain that is part of a network used to rank clients site:

80AMyqe

Backlink Profile of this domain:

srGdafn

Compare the DR of both and then see the strength of backlinks of the second domain.

Don't trust any metrics, it's just a waste of time.

Yep next time I am checking a list with 20k domains / sites for guest posts ill be focusing on the reffering domains of each and single one of them :D I mean it will take a year to finish it, but hey.
Joke aside metrics are useful when you are sorting big lists, so you can narrow them down to acceptable for individual checking.
