8 months is still very new. You're likely still in the Google "sandbox." My advice: forget the DA metric for now and focus 100% on two things:
- Content: Create content that is genuinely better and more helpful than the current top 5 results.
- Links: Start slowly building a few high-quality, relevant backlinks from respected sites in your niche.

Domain Authority itself doesn’t automatically grow with age it mainly depends on backlinks and overall site authority. An 8 month old domain can still struggle if it doesn’t have strong links or enough content.
