Hey. A friend got an 5 year old domain. Never use it, just keep it on godaddy.
Question: if I am starting to use this domain, in google eyes is an old or new domain?

Age is still age, however I'm pretty sure Google is also looking at the domain's activity in the past. So perhaps Google's answer would be: aged domain with no activity.

Domain age only matters when it has an activity with aged backlinks.
