Hey,

I have a quick question, I'll be glad if I get an answer to this, because it really gets me stuck in keyword researching process, so..

How important is a domain age when looking at top 10 sites in google for a specific keyword. Like if all of the websites in top 10 had a domain age 10+, or even 15+, but 20- backlinks, and 0, 1, 2 PRs, would you go for that keyword?

And also, how important is Index Count? In market samurai, it always has a high number, and is always painted in red, so should I took it seriously and look for the keywords with a low number of index count?

thanks in advance :)

Look at the backlinks towards the domain instead of the domain age. Then I would look at the trust flow of the domain in Majestic. MS gives you trust flow of the page only.

Thanks for the reply,

So, you say that domain age isn't as important as the domain backlinks number? and in your opinion, how many domain backlinks must a website have, to think it as a competitive website? and what number of trust flow of the domain is normal, in order to think that you can beat the site?

Any other suggestions, anyone?

I have not found domain age to be important at all. Trust flow for the domain < 15 and you can beat that site. I don't look at number of backlinks necessarily, because the quality of those backlinks matter a lot.
